Our Mission

Dear Friends,

We are facing a threat to our democracy never seen in our country’s history. Our constitutional rights are violated as millions of government workers are fired without due process. Immigrants, legal and undocumented, are facing deportation often without regard for the constitutional rights. The economy is in turmoil from Trump’s on-again off-again tariff policies with our best trading partners. Putin has written Trump’s conditions for Ukraine’s concessions for a cease fire. And now, Trump resurrected the Alien Enemy Act of 1798 so he can ignore constitutional rights regarding deportations and vindictively attacking politicians, reporters and FBI agents and anyone who questions his authority.

JOIN US We need a strong and unified resistance if we ever want to regain and retain our democracy. There are support groups aiding these causes and many more throughout the country. However, what we don’t have is a single unifying symbol showing: ‘WE STAND UNITED AND WE STAND STRONG.

JOIN US We are making the regal SUNFLOWER the symbol of a united and strong resistance. Besides being the national flower of Ukraine, the Sunflower has legendary significance in many cultures. Perhaps the Mexican proverb says it best, ‘They thought they could bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds,’

JOIN US

  • Grow Sunflowers wherever you live work, play. Don’t forget to ask your local governments, schools, park departments, universities if you can plant in their garden beds.

  • Plant seeds and share seedlings with friends, family and community.

  • For those times and places growing sunflowers is not an option, wear or use Sunflower stickers (some up to two feet high), clothing, table cloths (makes great banners). The internet is full of them or make your own. Contact us for suggestions.

MOST IMPORTANT: Share this message with your unions, action committees, support groups and social media contacts. Send this message to local, state and national representatives and senators.

*** Seeds were donated by Baker Creek (rareseeds.com). A huge thanks to them. Also, Gaddis Nursery (wholesale) (Gaddisnursery.com) has generously donated space and materials to start the seedlings. Thanks, James.
