Greetings, 

Below is a letter to the editor by us, Sunflowers Across America, published in the Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, CA) on Feb 13, 2026. Our letter has been well received as we call for responding to hate with love in these disturbing times. We are promoting the Sunflower as the symbol as our commitment to 'turn to the light when faced with darkness'. 

We ask you to join us. We have Sunflower seeds we will send you for free. Also, we will share our sources for sunflower clothing, hats and other items so people and businesses can proudly display their support for turning to the light. We do not make any money on this merchandise.

For those close to us, we ask for volunteers. We are committed to giving away 15,000 Sunflower seedlings this year. This requires a lot of help with labeling, planting, watering and distribution. We are conveniently located 1 minute off CA12 between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol.
